I am the daughter of Ralph Walker Cooper, Jr. and Mildred Gay Cooper. I was born in Jacksonville, FL on Oct. 21, 1944 in Riverside hospital with the name Jane Gay Cooper. I grew up In St. Augustine, FL and attended local schools. I graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC with a BA in Speech and Drama. In 1966 I married Downing Nightingale Jr. We now live in Jacksonville, FL. We have 2 sons, Downing Nightingale, III and Christopher Cooper Nightingale. We have 4 grandchildren.
