How To:Change Options

Excluding the individual module options, there are three places to change options for the main PhpGedview product. There is a site wide Configation page for changing database and other preferences. There is also a Configuration page and a Privacy page for each GEDCOM you have installed.

To access the site wide Configuration page:

1. Login as an administrator.
2. Select "MyGedview Portal" menu.
3. Select Admin submenu option.
4. Select Configuration from the "Site Administration" section.

To access the individual GEDCOM settings pages:

1. Login as an administrator.
2. Select "MyGedview Portal" menu.
3. Select "Manage GEDCOMs and edit Privacy" submenu option.
4. Find the section for the desired GEDCOM.
5. Select Edit to the right of "Privacy file" to edit what is viewable to the public and logged in users.
6. Select Edit to the right of "Configuration file" to edit everything else.
