I was born in Atlanta in 1949, my Father was born in Winchester, Ky in 1925, my Grandfather was Winchester also.
Now this is where it gets interesting, at least to me....My Great-grandfather's name was Christopher Monroe Boone,from Winchester
KY. I remember him telling me that "I" was related to SQUIRE BOONE. In my adult years, before the internet, I always thought he meant
DANIEL BOONE's brother (SQUIRE BOONE). To my surprise he was talking about Daniel's and Squire's FATHER. Turns out he was right about
the Father - SQUIRE BOONE, the father who moved from England, the head of the Boone clan who helped pioneer the move into Kentucky and westward. I suddenly have a keen interest in finding out about my ancestors...including the DUNWOODY's, CALLOWAY's, and PENN's as in Pennsylvania.
As for me, I am now 64 years old, live in Florida, and retired. Spent the first part of my life in the Hotel and Restaurant biz, then
switched to construction until I retired in 2007. Having been also trained as an artist (painter)by my father, and he by his mother, I
have been painting all my life, been involved with galleries, exhibitions and art shows for along time. I have actually sold well over 350 paintings, countless prints, and giclees, and still paint to this day - and enjoying it. I was married twice, but have no children.
I have a younger brother, Robert Clay Boone, born December 25, 1955 in Miami, Florida.
