As a flexible, collaborative web server program, hosted online, PhpGedView has full editing capabilities, full privacy functions, can import standard GEDCOM text files from most genealogy programs, and it supports multimedia like photos and document images. PhpGedView also simplifies the process of allowing others to add to your family tree by presenting all of these functions via a standard web server and browser interface. By using PhpGedView, your latest genealogy information is always on your website and available for others to see.\n\nPhpGedView can run locally on your computer using a webserver, but it is not like typical desktop programs. It requires access to an http server, a database and php.
