Recently I discovered [[PedGedView]] and set up my [http://web3us.com/ged/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=index Family site] on my [http://web3us.com home web server]. I love the functionality.

I have been putting together a [http://web3us.com/wiki/index.php/Setting_up_Wordpress%2C_Gallery2%2C_and_Mediawiki_on_Fedora wiki] that explains how to set up your own [[linux]] computer with apache [[PHP]] and [http://web3us.com/wiki/index.php/Setting_up_Wordpress%2C_Gallery2%2C_and_Mediawiki_on_Fedora#mySQL MYSQL]. I have also put together information on setup web pages with content management tools like [http://wordpress.org/ Wordpress] and [http://drupal.org/ Drupal].
If I can help you let me know my web site is [http://web3us.com/drupal/frontpage web3us.com], Jeff

I agree that "Uploading Replacement PhpGedView Files" is a better title than my original. Giving the impression of instructions to developers was not good. My bad.

However, I would still like to somehow get in the idea of upgrading/downgrading an installation more than merely "replacing files."

Grouping by O.S. was also good.

I would probably add appropriate categories to the article. I've just created a new sub-category of [[:Category:PhpGedView]] for use in articles such as this. I've called it [[:Category:Upgrading]], I've added it to your page. This way people can find your article through the categories hierarchy at [[:Category:Contents]]. Also, ensure words that you think people might search on to find info contained in your article are included in the text - that way people can find it by doing a search.
I was wondering if I download the latest version and copy the files over my previous version (saving my config.php of course) if that would work for an upgrade? Have other tried this method successfully?
