==Why PhpGedView?==
PhpGedView (PGV) is a revolutionary genealogy program which allows you to view and edit your genealogy using a web interface. As a flexible, collaborative web server program, hosted online, PhpGedView has full editing capabilities, full privacy functions, can import standard GEDCOM text files from most genealogy programs, and it supports multimedia like photos and document images. PhpGedView also simplifies the process of allowing others to add to your family tree by presenting all of these functions via a standard web server and browser interface. By using PhpGedView, your latest genealogy information is always on your website and available for others to see.

PhpGedView can run locally on your computer using a webserver, but it is not like typical desktop programs. It requires access to an http server, a database and php. Easy to use and install versions of these functions can be installed with several programs designed for local use - like XAMMP, MAMP and LAMMP - depending on your operating system. However, PhpGedView's primary mission is to foster good, collaborative genealogical practices via a web environment, allowing you to share your family history and expand your tree with the help of others.

PhpGedView v4.3

PGV v4.3 has not been officially released as a downloadable version, however it is the only version available that has any recent development and then, only a few minor bug fixes. PGV itself remains in a stable, but stagnant condition as there is no base of programmers working on the project.

PGV should continue to work without major problems until there are significant deprecations or changes of the supporting programs, PHP and MySQL.

If you are new to PGV, do not install very old v4.2.4 [released in JAN 2011], but rather download the current SVN version from the SourceForge site and install that code. This is the only code that is currently supported. Additionally, you may wish to investigate [http://webtrees.net webtrees], a MAR 2010 fork of the PGV project which is currently in very active development.

Here's the download location:

And click on "Download Snapshot". Downloading can be a bit slow.

This file can be extracted into directory called "phpGedView", which will contain all of the files comprising the most recently updated version of PGV.

It is this version that is called "4.3.0 SVN". It's actually 4.2.4 with all the latest revised files. You can safely use this version. Any bugs in this version also exist in 4.2.4 (!!)

I am a descendant of Antoine Dionne and Marie Catherine Ivory.I believe his father Jean and he immigrated to Isle de Orlean in 1662 from Coutran,LaFerte-Gauche.Champagne,France. i am the son of donna marie dionne zdanowicz.she is the granddaughter of louis dionne and odelle brunnette of duck creek wisc. odelle is the descandant of charles de langlade and has quite a bit of indian in her she is the grand daughter of a mohawk indian women a loise o na we po of gen. cornwallis descent and a dominick brunnette jr. , his father dom. sr. was a mascoutin indian also known as c.b.masca he married a daughter of pierre grignon who married a domitille de langlade daughter of charles a odawa indian and french canadian. i am also the grandson of a zola belcher stidham ,i am a zdanowicz by adoption by my awesome step father who married my my mother donna.anyway i was told my grandma belcher was 1\2 cherokee on my natural fathers side so i am trying to figure out how much indian i have in me. so i have 2 questions for mark dionne 1.were any of the dionne men prior to louis married to indian women and 2.how was this mohawk women related to gen. cornwallis history says he had no kids.

My great great grandfather was Grey Jackson Pylant. He had 2 daughters, Margaret Pylant Ervin, my great grandmother, and Nancy Pylant Hice. Nancy's heir, Watson Mullins, still lives and works his farm. Margaret's oldest daughter was Nancy Elizabeth Ervin Hice. Nancy's 3rd oldest daughter was Dorothy Lillian Hice Lowe, who was my mother. My sister Linda and I were raised in Albuquerque New Mexico. Both of us are married with Grandchildren. Each year We visit Lynchburg and surrounding towns to visit cousins Twnnessee is dear to our hearts!
