Logo Guidelines

  • The logo should be of size 135px by 135px
  • Where possible, the use of colours and imagery should follow a scheme that helps form an identity that shows the PGVWiki site as being part of PhpGedView. However, you are encouraged to dream up any styling you like and your suggestions will be given equal consideration.
  • The use of transparent backgrounds is encouraged over a white background
  • Where possible, you should maintain a high resolution image (with layers) for each logo you submit. This will allow others to modify your logo with ease and it will be available for any high quality print purposes.

  • I like the logo. I would like to see competitors. --Tom Haws 06:12, 22 November 2005 (EST)
  • I think we should make the logo with transparent background. --Gadig 15:52, 29 November 2005 (EST)
    • I agree. Ian who has put the logos in is learning how to use GIMP and indicated that the transparent backgrounds won't work on IE6 so if you can provide some help let him know. --Laurie Lewis 14:45, 1 December 2005 (EST)
      • Hi Laurie, could you send me the original image file of the logo and I will add the transparent background to it. Thanks. Gadig 08:26, 14 December 2005 (EST)

  • Background: Transparent

  • I like this logo, but am concerned that the small dots won't show up well on non-white backgrounds.
    • what sort of non-white bg? Maybe I could come up with some slight modifications where a background colour is used in the logo for use on non-white bg's? --Nath | Talk 05:41, 4 December 2007 (EST)
